Who I Am
My name is Chase M. and I am a student that is currently going to South Western High School. I took the Intro to Engineering/Design class in 2014/15 which was my Sophomore year. I took it in the Spring during 3rd period. I took the Principles of Engineering class the 2015/16 year, which was my Junior year and I had it in the Fall semester. I have many hobbies that I enjoy doing. I wrestle for the school team and I play golf in my free time. My main accomplishment in IED this year was getting a certificate for being engineering student of the month along with two other classmates. My main accomplishment in POE was winning two projects in a row.
I plan to grow up and be an engineer. I really would like to go to Penn State, but if i can go somewhere that will give me a better education I will be willing to do that because that is what it's all about.
Many other classes I took in my last year and last semester helped get me through this class. Taking the Computer Aided Drafting course really helped get me familiar with picking out the most appropriate views of an object drawing and correctly laying out my dimensions. It also taught me stuff about section views, construction lines, and center lines. I believe that I mainly succeeded in this class because the work I did had a professional look to it and everything was neat.
In the 2015 year of school I decided to take the Principles of engineering class. This class in my opinion was harder than the IED course because of the difficult equations and math involved in the problems with statics and thermodynamics.
